Daretown Lake and Mill

Location: Daretown Road & Fox Mill Road
Daretown Lake is located on the Salem River at the intersection of Daretown and Fox Mill Road. The sixteen-acre lake is used for recreation purposes. Fishing (NJ fishing license required) and boating (no outboard motor) are permitted. There is no boat ramp but there is a car top launch area. Elephant Swamp Trail Walking/Biking Path

Location: Elmer Ballpark to Monroeville Road
The township owns the old railroad bed that runs from the back of the Elmer Ballpark to the Monroeville Fire House. This 2.5-mile-long unpaved path is available for residents to walk and bike. It also connects with the trail that Elk Township maintains on the same railroad bed. Click here to read more about the trail.

Upper Pittsgrove School

Location: 235 Pine Tavern Road, Monroeville
When school is not in session, the outdoor facilities may be used by residents. The school property includes the following:
– 4 playgrounds
– 1 baseball and 1 softball field
– 2 soccer fields
– 1 grass volleyball court
– 2 low (9-ft) basketball courts
– 6 regulation basketball courts
The use of the indoor facilities (basketball courts, gym) requires approval by the Board of Education. Contact the Board Secretary at 856-358-8163 ext.100 for more information and to request a facilities-use form.

Upper Pittsgrove Township’s Playground and Park

Location: 190 Groff Road, Monroeville (next to Convenience Center)
To schedule ballparks for group use (Little League, churches, etc.), please contact the Recreation Committee Chairman, Ed Meschi, at 856-358-7293. A Certificate of Liability Insurance will need to be submitted. This recreation area includes the following:
– playground equipment
– 2 baseball/softball fields
– 1 soccer field
